Patterson Named LEL Volleyball Player of the Week

Junior Middle Blocker Ashlee Patterson of Garfield Heights  was named the LEL Volleyball Player of the Week. Garfield began slowly in its season opener in a tri-match at Parma Heights High School on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Captain and Junior Middle Blocker Ashlee Patterson made an outstanding performance as Garfield pulled away in the second and third set. She had 6 kills, 4 single blocks, and 3 served aces. Ashlee has played varsity since her freshman year and is not use to having to pass, couldn’t tell that she wasn’t comfortable passing in the match against Oberlin nor Parma though they took a lost in two.
