Week 3 Lake Erie League Student-Athletes of the Week Awards

In the closest vote this year for the Student-Athletes of the Week. We have some great stats and representation of the teams of the Lake Erie League. Please see this week’s award winners below:

• Senior Libero Leah Grimes @ Bedford HS.
  • vs Maple – 23/26 successful receptions, 27/33 successful digs
  • vs Orange – 32/39 successful receptions, 10/13 successful digs
• Junior Cross Country Runner Micah Eskridge @ Lorain.
  • Micah placed 8th in his race at the Walsh Jesuit Richie Invitational. He ran a career best time of 18:44.20
• Junior Linebacker Jay’l Diaz @ Lorain.
  • Jay’l had 19 tackles with 2 tackles for loss in an 8-0 shutout victory against Sandusky. Jay’l also scored a 2 point conversion. He also had a long punt of 56 yards, averaging 35 yards per punt for the game.
