ICYMI: Lorain Sweeps LEL POW Awards for Baseball and Softball

Jacob Addis and Adi’anna Bucci of Lorain High School have won this weeks LEL Player of the Week for Baseball and Softball.  For Jacob Performance:

• Mon. @ Garfield: 2 for 3 with 2 HR, 4 RBI, 3 Runs scored
• Tues. vs Maple: 1 for 2 with 1 RBI, 2 runs scored
• Wed. @ Maple: 3 for 3 with a HR, 3 RBI, 3 runs scored. Pitching, he went 5 innings giving up just one hit and 2 unearned runs. He struck out 10 and walked 4.
  

Adi’anna had an impressive game vs Cleveland Heights:

• 2/4 (.500) at the plate, threw out 3 caught stealing
• Adi’anna Bucci singled in the bottom of the 6th inning to start Lorain’s rally to scoring 3 runs and narrowing the lead to one run.
• Bottom of 7th with a 0 – 1 count and 2 outs, Bucci hits a hard driven single past the infield to score the winning 2-RBIs for Lorain to escape with a 4 – 5 win.
